My apologies for the state of my website. I had a server migration problem and then a hack, and I haven't had time to fix all the images.

Terms and Conditions

If you purchase something from my site or opt-in for a freebie of some kind, you will be put on my VIP email list. These free items are gifts for subscribers only. Emails to you are approximately once a week and contain helpful content including info about homeschooling curriculum, recent blog posts, personal anecdotes, additional free resources, encouragement, homemaking tips, and notices about sales or products you might enjoy. You can unsubscribe at any time.

You agree to hold me harmless for any information or products provided on this site or via affiliate links. Discussion of health or medical topics should not be construed as medical advice. Discussion of laws or regulations should not be construed as legal advice.

All articles, information, images, downloads, printables, and products are copyrighted to Andrea Townsley and/or their respective brands and companies (All the Homeschool Things, formerly Townsley Times). You may not claim anything from my site as your own. You may use downloads, freebies, and digital products for yourself and your household only. To distribute these in any way violates these terms. You making a purchase or downloading a free item indicates your agreement with any and all terms and conditions.

Comments on posts, pages, or products should be courteous, helpful, or inquisitive. I reserve the right to delete comments if they do not align with this basic rule.

Privacy Policy

I will never sell or give out your email address, street address, payment information, or any identifying information that you give me, either at checkout for a purchase, signing up for emails, or otherwise.

If you sign up for my email list, your name and email address are stored securely by my email service provider, and they do log your IP address and the date/time you signed up. I can also view if you received, opened, and clicked on any given email that I send you. See ConvertKit‘s complete privacy policy and more specifically, their article on GDPR compliance.

If you purchase something from my shop, my online storefront stores any information entered at checkout. You can view the privacy policy of WooCommerce here. PayPal handles all financial information and that is not stored or available to me; refer to PayPal‘s privacy policy. Physical and digital products may be handled by a third party to ensure proper delivery to you and I do not have access to that or power over it. Shirts are fulfilled by Printful. Digital products may be accessed through Amazon AWS or Dropbox.

If you comment on a post, WordPress collects the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. The comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. You will not be added to my email list just by commenting. You must opt in on a signup form or purchase something from my shop.

If you use my contact form, I will receive any information you enter plus your IP address.

I use various “plugins” that each have their own data they may collect for the sake of optimizing your experience on my site, counting social shares, showing ads, monitoring traffic and behavior, etc. These include but are not limited to:

This site uses cookies. The purpose of this is to track clicks for affiliate or referral programs and to tailor ads to your interests. Third parties may track cookies for varying time periods. I personally don’t have access to any of this information aside from what Google Analytics shows me or affiliate sites (I can see generally if someone from my site has clicked on a link, but that is not connected with you in an identifiable way unless you make a purchase and that third party site also shows me your name or email. Otherwise I have no clue who is doing what). If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you request that I delete any data I may have on you, I will delete whatever I can find. I could also conceivably tell you what I have stored. It would be a real pain, since I don’t access that information really ever. I have no need to.

In summary, you can trust that I am not doing anything nefarious with your information. I read your comments, emails, and contact form messages. I provide what I hope are helpful and encouraging resources. Yes, this blog is monetized so you might click on something that will earn me a few bucks. That’s really it. Thank you for being a loyal reader and using your common sense. 🙂
